1. I watched the movie ‘Hoosiers’ last night staring Gene Hackman. See it and you will love it, especially if you like Basketball. Even if you don’t like or know anything about Basketball you can still enjoy it.

2. I realized that what China is doing in Tibet today, we have done to the Native Americans for years. Any government would do the same to a bunch of protesters that started robbing banks, and bombing post offices. At that point they become criminals taking advantage of protests and demonstrations to fill their own pockets. I hate how this is being spun in the American news like China is out of control.

If this is true, we are doing one of the shittiest jobs of it. Empire means colonization and exploitation of a countries natural resources. I don’t see anyone getting rich from having our military forces in South Korea or Guam or Japan or Afghanistan.

I don’t think the government could find its ass with 2 hands. Sure the phones are bugged, but they are in every other country too. This one is quite a stretch.

People want justice after 9/11. President asked congress for a war. Congress approved war. People elected congress. Does not seem very fascist too me.

Dictionary defines Fascism as “a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.”

The president is on the side of big business that is for sure and he pisses me off too, but calling him a Fascist is just as bad as #3. Media Opposes Dissenters. After all, the president was elected for 2 terms, so someone out there believes he is doing a good job.

They are now selling reusable shopping bags at their stores. I would recommend you do yourself (and the Earth) a favor by purchasing a few of these. They only cost .99 cents and they do a lot of good. By decreasing the amount of plastic and paper consumed they reduce waste and reduce the amount of trash going into the landfills. I normally don’t get all crazy about things, but when I saw them I just had to get one. I HATE PLASTIC BAGS. I really think they are the dumbest thing because they encourage a culture of waste. I should paint a picture of the Earth covered in a plastic bag. These things are evil! Evil I tell you!! America needs to wake up and do what people in other countries have already started to do and use these reusable bags.

I never write in this thing enough. Where to begine?

Some times I neglect this journal because the will to write share is not always there. I like that I have a more limited audience(if anyone) reading this thing so I really should write more. Sometimes I like the feel of paper. I receive great satisfaction from writing by hand and ideas generally flow much easier and faster that way. I think next semester I will try and hand write my papers from now on and focus less on computers for drafting. Oh ya I forgot to tell you I had to sign up for two classes at Schoolcraft next semester. I hate the idea of going back to the (pardon my french) ‘Fucking shit hole’ school, but my money situation is better off just taking the classes there. I still plan to graduate from Washtenaw and as of Wednesday I am done with the preques to get onto the wait list for their radiography program. The decisive factor was the cost. I could take both classes at Schoolcraft for the cost of one at WCC, plus the school is less then a mile away. The wait list for the Radiography program is somewhere in the range of 1-2 years. I have discovered a quicker route going through a hospital based program. However I need to have prerequs for them, college level Algebra and English classes before I can apply to them(I think). Hopefully I can submit an application and by the time I would be admitted into the hospital based program I will be done with the classes.

I need to get my ass in gear. I must get out of this fog that I am stuck in. Damn it I hate you winter!!

Why I hate Brittany Spears

An old saying goes ‘there is no such thing as bad press’ and I think this really applies to her current situation. I don’t think it is a coincidence that you can’t go anywhere without seeing or hearing about Queen Brittany’s problems and that her new album is set to release on the 29th of October. We have a terrorist masking as a President, a government paranoid and dumb, a never ending war on terror, the planet cooking itself, and the list goes on. Unless your living your life under a rock without a TV and radio you can’t escape hearing about her fuck ups. Like today at work someone was asking me what I thought about her dancing at the MTV video awards. I could care less about that white trash fat ass. She obviously is doing all of this to stir up some attention so she can sell records. WHAT IF SHE KILLS HERSELF, DR PHIL SAYS SHE SHOWS ALL THE SIGNS. She shows all the signs of being a smart recording artist. It just is insane that no matter what anyone says about her inability to raise children on the 29th people will still be lining up to get the new CD. She has been a cash cow for her record company and will be for many years to come. Just have a look at this site and you will understand.

It just seems like everyone Bush does not like these days is trying to get nukes. What a coincidence! Korea, Iran, who is next? It doesn’t really bother America that Israel basically gave the rest of the world the finger and built themselves a bunch of nukes. I guess Halliburton can’t make profit off a war with them.

Last days of summer

Tomorrow is my sisters first day of her senior year in High school, pardon me if I get a little deep. It just starts me thinking about how I was my senior year and I wonder how hers will end up. I have accomplished small things in the past 4 years. The fall season is in the mail and then it is back to sweaters and shitty roads. Global warming may be effecting us in small ways, but in Michigan it seems like most of the year it is freezing cold and nasty. Their are good things to look forward too. Fall happens to be my favorite time of the year; Camp fires, Elm Street Party, Halloween, all great things. It is that time of year you start to analyze yourself and what you have achieved over a short summer. What you will do over the hibernating season?
